Who are you and what are you currently working on?

I am Brian Pfeiffer, a business owner, and serial entrepreneur. I specialize in VIP hosting services in Las Vegas and affiliate marketing. As part of my business, I have a YouTube channel called MarketingMeathead that is dedicated to helping subscribers learn online marketing. I also put valuable content out on my blog Marketing Meathead every week.

How did you get started in affiliate marketing? What keeps you excited you about it?

I caught the internet “make money online” bug when I first joined a network marketing company in 2013. I never really had outstanding success with network marketing, but It did help me develop my skills. Around 2014-2015 I went to just about every seminar. I could and spent close to six figures in mentorships, courses, software, etc. until finally, I was able to hit my first affiliate campaign in 2016. I mainly was looking for a side hustle since the VIP hosting business in Las Vegas is seasonal.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to a newbie affiliate marketer? And what is one piece of advice they should ignore?

Ahh, this one is pretty easy. Don’t do what I did and “waste” 6 figures on so many courses, seminars, and mentors. That is not the answer. Find one credible person who can prove they have the results that you actually want and go all in with them – even if its the highest level mastermind. The key is taking action, watching training after training is not going to do anything. If you don’t implement you will forget 99% of what you learn, you might as well not even take the course!

What has been your favorite mistake? A mistake that in retrospect led to a great lesson and progress in your affiliate marketing?

Well, it was a mistake to follow this one mentor, because I came to find out I overpaid for his system. But because, I overpaid I was invited to a meet up in Santa Monica and met another mentor there and he became a bottle service customer. To this day, that other mentor was my biggest win, success-wise after making $100K profit in a month and the bottle service VIP still is a loyal customer with me to this day.

What is one piece of software or a web service that allows you to to be more effective as an affiliate marketer?

I would have to say Clickfunnels for just the sheer ease of building quickly and sharing funnels. We are also seeing some nice results with Maximus for tracking native advertising.

How do you continue to educate yourself as an affiliate marketer? What are some of your favorite resources for learning?

I am still a course junky if you can believe it. I buy at least 10-15 new courses a year and do 2-4 masterminds and conferences, I look at it like this – if I get one “golden nugget” out of a $997 to $2497 course or mastermind that can easily make me $100K or more.
