We’re excited to announce an update to our support of the Microsoft Affiliate Program! Microsoft was originally the third affiliate program we added support for, but when Impact took over the program from Tradedoubler, we didn’t have an opportunity to update our front end to handle the new changes. With this update, full auto-affiliation support of Microsoft’s regional affiliate programs can now be managed from within the Geniuslink dashboard!
The Barnes & Noble Affiliate Program marks the seventh total affiliate program and the third book-related affiliate program (Amazon and Apple Books being the first two) Geniuslink supports. We are excited to add auto-affiliation support for BarnesAndNoble.com affiliate program to further support our authors, book publishers, and affiliate marketers recommending good books to their audiences.
We are excited to announce that in our continued push to help Creators monetize their links we’ve recently launched support for the B&H Photo Video affiliate program. Geniuslink clients can now more easily create and manage B&H affiliate links. This new functionality creates even more opportunities for your links to work harder and smarter for you.
What does GDPR have to do with Geniuslink, a US based company? Well, two things:
First, we see roughly 35% of our clients, and 55% of the clicks we process, coming from Europe so it’s very important that we pay attention to GDPR and be in compliance.
Second, one of the key elements of our original thesis is that a global perspective is key to maximizing revenue so paying attention to major updates in international compliance is an important piece to that.
In the bigger picture, we are actually big fans of what GDPR is trying to do, at least the underlying theory. However, the ambiguity makes preparing for it more of a challenge than we’d like to admit. But at the end of the day, we agree that your personal information should belong to you and companies should respect that and step up when you give them consent to collect it.
A note from the CEO on why we changed the way we charge for our service.
Over the past few years, we have invested heavily in developing awesome new features. Features like the ability to place remarketing pixels in your links, A/B testing, UTM support, language-based targeting, a reporting engine and Choice Pages (which we’re currently working hard to level up). However, only a small percentage of our clients were able to benefit from these, as they were merely available in our Plus and Power plans. We felt like that was a waste.
