Cocktail Hour With Geniuslink

Working from home can be a blessing and a curse. On one hand, our team does not have to commute through Seattle traffic to work anymore, on the other hand, we don’t get to see the whole team in the office every day. This has made it more important than ever to find other ways to connect and enjoy each other’s company. Finding activities to do together and build a team atmosphere can be difficult, to say the least.

Enter: Virtual Cocktail Class.

Luckily for us, we work closely with Justin Khanna of Voyagers Table, helping to manage links for his organization. He and Jade Leong came up with the idea for a cocktail lesson for the team.

So Monday at 4 pm (hey it’s 5:00 somewhere right?) Jade lead our team in a Cocktail hour from the comfort of all of our Kitchens.

We spent the next two hours laughing, mixing, and spilling until we all had created 2 delightful cocktails- The Creamsicle and Rosemary Cooler.

The Recipe

Jade and Justin were kind enough to let us share one of the drinks on our blog so you could try it at home!

Lemon Rosemary Cooler

Ingredients

1/2 bunch rosemary
1 cup of sugar (or other sweetener) Juice of 1 to 2 lemons (to taste) Club soda (optional)
Ice
Rosemary for garnish

Hardware

Jar (lid optional, if you want to keep extra syrup)
Kettle for hot water
Spoon

Highball or rocks glass

Tear rosemary (including stems) into smaller pieces to fit into bottom of jar. Pour over 1 cup of hot water and add sweetener. Stir lightly and let stand for 30mins to 1hr.
When rosemary syrup is cooled, add ice and 1/2 lemon juice to glass. Add rosemary syrup to taste, in 1 tbsp increments. Add lemon juice to taste and club soda if you wish. Garnish with rosemary and serve.

What We Thought

After the class, I took a poll and the Rosemary Drink was definitely a team favorite. It was cold and refreshing, perfect for the hot summer night we were concocting in.

All in all, this class was an awesome way for all of us at Geniuslink to connect despite working from home. We highly recommend this activity for companies that are remote. Voyager’s Table works with you to create an experience that will leave you feeling amazed, engaged, and valued. They specialize in meaningful and impactful company & product launches, talent sourcing events, holiday parties and company retreats that will leave a lasting, positive impact on your customers, candidates and team.

Conclusion

I guess you could say we are pretty big fans! Voyager’s Table is a collective of creative professionals who take personal ownership of every event they touch. From cocktail class to a dinner party you can expect nothing but a memorable occasion. I know that I will be pulling these drinks out to impress family and friends for years to come! Give the Rosemary Cooler a try and let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
