New To Tradedoubler? This Blog’s For You.

Within GeoRiot’s dashboard, you can import Tradedoubler affiliate parameters
for multiple countries across one region.
From time to time, we’ll receive a question from a client that highlights a bigger problem or issue. When this happens, we’ll often turn our answer into a blog post in the hopes of better reaching others who may be running into the same question.

Today, we’re looking at the process of navigating the many affiliate programs within the Tradedoubler network.

Those familiar with Tradedoubler, know they manage several iTunes / App Store Affiliate Programs across Europe and Latin America. What you may not know is that there are 39 country-specific programs in total. Thirty-nine? That’s a lot of individual programs to apply for and get set up with.

While we generally encourage signing up for as many affiliate

programs as possible, Tradedoubler is the exception. This is due to something

Tradedoubler does called “crossboarders.”

Crossboarders is a unique situation where Tradedoubler clients can use the tracking parameters from one program in a region to earn commissions on sales from other countries’ stores in that same region. For example, a client using UK tracking parameters can earn commissions from referred sales in the other European countries such as France or Italy. Crossboarders is automatically applied to all new Tradedoubler accounts.

We find that it’s a faster – and more efficient – use of your time

to start with just three programs to cover the region served by Tradedoubler

as a whole.

We suggest Argentina (to cover Latin America) and the UK (to cover Europe), and additionally Brazil (as it’s not included within crossboarders). Once you add your UK and Argentina parameters, be sure to click the radio button in your GeoRiot dashboard to expand these parameters across Europe and Latin America respectively.

When your GeoRiot links are receiving international clicks, you’ll be able to see the traffic coming from specific countries. Using the reporting features housed in your GeoRiot dashboard, you’ll then be able to make more informed decisions about which additional affiliate programs in Europe and Latin America it would sense for you to participate in.

Of course, there are Pro’s and Con’s to using several affiliate programs within each Tradedoubler region vs. the three mentioned above. We encourage you to read up on the topic so that you can make the right decision based on your individual affiliate linking needs.
