Please stay tuned!<\/strong><\/p><p>The Amazon Mexico affiliate program is now a prime target for international affiliate publishers who are looking to earn additional commissions from their global audience. \u00a0This significant change is due to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.payoneer.com\/news\/get-paid-mexican-peso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">a recent rollout by Payoneer that includes the option for an MXN (Mexican Pesos) \u201creceiving account.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>This addition means that it\u2019s now possible to get your hard-earned commissions out of Mexico and into your Payoneer wallet, and thus into your local bank account, in a nearly seamless data-wpel-link=\"external\">According to Statista<\/a>, Mexico has an incredibly fast-growing ecommerce market with 2019 ecommerce revenue calculated at $9.2B and estimates of $12.9B, with nearly 100m buyers, by 2023. \u00a0<\/p><p>Further, the current average revenue per user (ARPU) is at $113 and the most significant segments, approximately 30% of the market, are Electronics and Media.<\/p><p>The Mexico ecommerce market has long been exciting to international affiliate marketers for two reasons. \u00a0<\/p><p>First, it\u2019s proximity to the United States and second as a common source of traffic to Spanish language-based websites. \u00a0This has often left US \/ English based publishers as well as major publishers in Spain eager for an easy solution to receiving commissions for sales they refer to Amazon.com.mx.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5ff3794 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5ff3794\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-06-30\/amazon-mexico-says-hola-with-debut-of-new-online-storefront\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Amazon debuted the Amazon.com.mx storefront<\/a>\u00a0with more product categories of any other international rollout. \u00a0This made electronics, housewares, sporting goods, and various other categories now readily available to residents of Mexico via a native Amazon shopping experience.<\/p><p>It was only a few months later, in late August of 2015, that the Amazon storefront launched their own affiliate program,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/afiliados.amazon.com.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Amazon Afiliados<\/a>. \u00a0Geniuslink rolled out support within the same day to ensure a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/geniuslink.com\/vs-onelink\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">high level of link translation and the user experience that sets our service apart<\/a>.<\/p><p>The initial challenges for non-Mexico based affiliate publishers were the requirement for a Mexico based mailing address as well as the only payment option being direct deposit into a Mexico based bank account, using Mexico\u2019s banking system. \u00a0We traditionally recommend that clients get set up for the program and then accrue their commissions until an international payment solution was made available at which point they could cash out.<\/p><p>Today, a new account with the\u00a0Amazon Mexico Associates program\u00a0simply requires being able to send a valid invoice\u00a0for your accrued commissions and Mexican bank account to then receive the payments.<\/p><p>One piece of that invoice is having a valid\u00a0<strong>Federal Taxpayers Registry (\u201cRFC\u201d)<\/strong>\u00a0number. \u00a0Thankfully there is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizlatinhub.com\/invoicing-requirements-mexico-foreign-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">a generic one (\u201cRFC XEXX010101000\u201d) that can be used for non-Mexican nationals who live outside the country<\/a>\u00a0(hat tip to\u00a0<a data-wpel-link=\"internal\">huge fans of Payoneer<\/a>, especially after finding they\u00a0took the pain out of depositing foreign currency checks with our local bank\u00a0(if you haven\u2019t signed up for Payoneer then\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/geni.us\/PayoneerSignup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">we strongly recommend you do it now<\/a>, don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ll wait!). \u00a0<\/p><p>The thing that Payoneer does that is so brilliant is that they provide \u201clocal\u201d bank accounts in various countries around the world so you can get paid like a local company. \u00a0We take full advantage of this to receive Great British Pounds (GBP) commissions from Amazon.co.uk, Euros (EUR) from Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it and Amazon.es, Canadian dollars (CAD) from amazon.ca, as well as Japanese Yen (JPY) from Amazon.co.jp (we are still waiting for Amazon Australia to work out the kinks on their side so we can use Payoneer to receive commissions in Australian dollars, AUD, from Amazon.com.au).<\/p><p>The exciting news is that they have now added an option to receive commissions in Mexican Pesos (MXN) via the SPEI or TEF process!<\/p><p>According to multiple blogs (<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.payoneer.com\/news\/get-paid-mexican-peso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.payoneer.com\/how-to\/get-paid\/receive-disbursements-from-amazon-seller-central-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>), getting set up for an MXN receiving account with Payoneer is supposed to be easy. \u00a0Unfortunately, my first experience wasn\u2019t.
