Overstock Affiliate Program
The Overstock Affiliate Program is an excellent alternative for those looking to diversify their affiliate portfolio away from using only the Amazon Associates program and those who would like a more niche affiliate program.
The affiliate program is a well-established program run through CJ Affiliate, a cost-per-sale marketing network that allows vendors to make money off commissions.
Commission Rates and Cookie Windows
The base commission percentage is 6%, which is much higher than Amazon’s 3% in the home goods and fashion category. This means you will earn a solid commission from the customers you refer to for your favorite interior design ideas!
Overstock has an advantage over Amazon and many other competing affiliate programs for these categories in its affiliate cookie window. While Amazon allows a cookie window of just 24 hours, Overstock gives a whole 14-day cookie window, which means that you could earn commissions for a customer who purchases two weeks after clicking on your link!
Overstock + Geniuslink
While the CJ Advertising affiliate network dashboard is a user-friendly platform for assembling affiliate links, it can still be a bit cumbersome to create an affiliated product link for Overstock. With our newly added support, any raw product link direct from Overstock.com can be affiliated quickly using our Geniuslink dashboard. A simple link from Overstock.com is all you need to pass clicks along to their destination with your affiliate parameters included.
We call this process “Auto-affiliation,” and it’s swift to set up. All you need to do is grab your Partner ID from the CJ Network dashboard and drop it into the Affiliate page of the Geniuslink dashboard under ‘Overstock (CJ).’ Once we have that seven-digit number, any geni.us links you build for Overstock products will automatically have your affiliate parameters appended!
Please note that our VigLink and Skimlinks support rollout also enables you to monetize Overstock links through either of these monetization platforms. There are multiple benefits of using VigLink or Skimlinks, but signing up directly through Impact and adding your Partner ID into Geniuslink allows you to keep 100% of your commissions earned from the program (vs. the ~ 75% that is paid out when using an affiliate aggregator).
