The team at Geniuslink is excited to introduce the support for Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program! Bloomingdale’s is one of the best-known luxury department store chains selling high-end name-brand clothing. With Bloomingdale’s + Geniuslink integration, you can build links and earn commissions through Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program more effortlessly than ever!

Overview

The first Bloomingdale’s store was founded by two brothers, Joseph and Lyman Bloomingdale’s, in 1872. The two brothers wanted to create a store where women could shop for clothing and accessories in the same place and opened one of the first department stores in the world.

The ethos of Bloomingdale’s is to create a shopping experience that customers will not find elsewhere. They offer a personalized shopping experience, finding each shopper items of clothing with matching accessories they love.

The retail industry has changed a lot over the past few years, and many stores have struggled to maintain physical stores now that online shopping is becoming more and more popular. One of the ways that Bloomingdale’s continues to stay relevant is by providing some of the most popular designer brands of the time.

Bloomingdale’s is a key player in the retail affiliate world and can compete with Amazon because of its customer loyalty and many luxury brands. Bloomingdale’s strives to be like no other store in the world, which extends to everything they do, including their affiliate program. Each time you refer a customer to bloomingdales.com, and they make a qualifying purchase, you earn a commission. It’s straightforward.

Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program

Bloomingdale’s offers some of the top luxury brands in the retail market.

The Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program is an excellent alternative for those looking to diversify their affiliate portfolio away from using only the Amazon Associates program and those who would like a more niche affiliate program.

The affiliate program is a well-established program run through Rakuten Advertising, a cost-per-sale marketing network that allows vendors to make money off commissions.

The Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program offers many benefits besides commissions; they offer loyalist rewards, free shipping, the Registry at Bloomingdale’s, and in-store pickup.

Commission Rates and Cookie Windows

While the base commission percentage of only 2% is lower than Amazon’s 4% in the women’s fashion category, Bloomingdale’s is diverse in its prices.

For example, you can get clothes at affordable prices, while women’s dresses go up to $500 per piece, which means you will still be able to earn a solid commission for every purchasing customer you refer!

Additionally, Bloomingdale’s has a significant advantage over Amazon and many other competing affiliate programs for these categories in its affiliate cookie window.

While Amazon allows a cookie window of just 24 hours, Bloomingdale’s gives a whole 90-day cookie window, which means that you could earn commissions for a customer who purchases nearly three months after clicking on your link!

Terms and Conditions

Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Terms of Agreement have restrictions that you should be aware of compared to other similar affiliate programs.

That being said, you will still need to read through and confirm that you agree to their terms before signing up for the program. Upon our investigation, one thing stood out as essential pieces to note:

Account Activity

If your account is inactive for more than twelve consecutive months, Rakuten reserves the right to debit your account balance in accordance.

If your account balance is more significant than 100 currency units, a monthly fee of 10% of the outstanding balance will be assessed; If your account balance is less than 100 currency units, a monthly cost of 10 currency units will be charged.

If your account balance is less than ten currency units, a fee equivalent to the total balance in your account will be assessed.

These charges cover account maintenance until you reactivate your account by generating a commissionable activity through a Qualifying Link associated with your account or if your account is zero.

Suppose the balance in your inactive account is or becomes zero. In that case, Rakuten reserves the right to close the account permanently and cease to maintain your account records and Publisher program access.

Bloomingdale’s + Geniuslink

While the Rakuten Advertising affiliate network dashboard is a sure friendly platform for assembling affiliate links, it still can be a bit cumbersome of a process to create an affiliated product link for Bloomingdale’s.

With our newly added support, any raw product link direct from Bloomingdales.com can be affiliated quickly using our Geniuslink dashboard. So a simple link from bloomingdales.com is all you need to pass clicks along to their destination with your affiliate parameters included.

We call this process “Auto-affiliation,” and it’s speedy to set up. All you need to do is grab your Partner ID from the Impact dashboard and drop it into the Affiliate page of the Geniuslink dashboard under ‘Bloomingdale’s US (Rakuten).’

Once we have that seven-digit number, any geni.us links you build for Bloomingdale’s products will automatically have your affiliate parameters appended!

Please note that our VigLink and Skimlinks support rollout also enables you to monetize Bloomingdale’s links through either of these monetization platforms. There are multiple benefits of using VigLink or Skimlinks, but signing up directly through Impact and adding your Partner ID into Geniuslink allows you to keep 100% of your commissions earned from the program (vs. the ~ 75% that is paid out when using an affiliate aggregator).

Let’s go through a few tricks to make you a Geniuslink pro before you even start. With Geniuslink and Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program, you can diversify your affiliate revenues by supplementing your Amazon affiliate links with these few steps.

Choice Pages

Curation and Choice are suitable for the consumer and, ultimately, you! Choice Pages enable you to promote a single product across multiple storefronts, and our new suggestions feature makes it easier than ever to build them! Providing options to your customers will improve their shopping experience, and you can monetize the sale no matter which storefront you choose. You can find more info on how to set up a Choice Page in our Knowledge Base.

You can see an example here — https://geni.us/696R

With a Choice Page, you can promote Amazon and Bloomingdale’s affiliate links side by side in a clean, intuitive way and diversify your affiliate revenue – which from our research can help increase your affiliate earnings! Additionally, to help make creating a choice page even more simple, our new Suggestions feature allows you to find products across multiple storefronts, including Bloomingdale’s, easily!

A/B Split Links

The Amazon.com Associates program is often a mainstay way to earn commissions from US-based clicks. However, we’d encourage you to run an experiment if it’s the best option for your audience and recommended products. The A/B Split Test links provide a platform to track between two or more affiliate programs closely.

If you wanted to evaluate replacing your Amazon affiliate links with another affiliate program, you could use A/B Split test link. The test link allows you to compare the performance of Amazon’s Affiliate Program to Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program.

Conclusion

With the addition of Bloomingdale’s Affiliate Program, we have now increased our total affiliate program support to over 30 different affiliate programs! Additionally, with the recent launch of our Suggestions feature (which will automatically offer you suggested links to Bloomingdale’s products), we’re more fired up than ever to add additional affiliate programs to our roster, so stay tuned in the coming months as even more great programs are added in!
